Daywise Itinerary for North India Tour:
Day 01: Arrive Delhi
You will receive a warm traditional welcome on your arrival at the Delhi Airport and will be transferred to the one of the luxury hotels where your booking has been done, such as The Imperial or The Oberoi, for the overnight stay. As soon as you reach the hotel, you will receive a warm treatment and will be served welcome drinks to freshen you up. A company representative from TNS will help you understand all the tour details, discuss your preferred choices and make relevant suggestions to make your trip a memorable and pleasurable one.
Rest of the day is off, so you can relax as much you like or explore the city on your own.
Day 02: Delhi

You will be served a royal breakfast at the luxury hotel. At the appointed time, the company guide will meet you in the lobby and take you on a sightseeing tour of Old and New Delhi.
In Old Delhi, the mighty Red Fort is a testimony of luxury, opulence, and grandeur of Mughal rulers. You will also visit Rajghat, Jama Masjid and Birla Temple here. Chandni Chowk is one of the oldest markets around and is the biggest one in Asia. It is a perfect place to buy souvenirs and gifts for your loved ones, enjoy ride in a rickshaw and enjoy Delhii's delicacies. After lunch, you will witness the wonders of New Delhi.
New Delhi outlines the royal lifestyle of British who ruled India for about 200 years. India Gate is a tribute to the martyrs of India while the Rahstrapati Bhawan or the President's House is the abode of the President of India, also considered the First Citizen of India. Other highlights of New Delhi are the Lotus Temple, the Mahatma Gandhi Memorial, and the Qutub Minar.
In the evening, you will enjoy the 'Dances of India' show that starts at 18:45 hrs. Dinner can be arranged inside or outside the hotel, as desired.
Overnight stay will be at Delhi at the Imperial or the Oberoi, where you have already been staying.
Day 03: Delhi – Varanasi
(By Air, Usual Time Taken: 1 hour 20 minutes)
You will be dropped at the domestic airport, in time for the flight to one of the oldest living cities, Varanasi, after the breakfast at the hotel. Varanasi is an important pilgrimage center for Hindus and Buddhists.
A day excursion to Sarnath is planned immediately after your arrival at Varanasi. Lord Buddha had delivered his first sermon at Sarnath. Here, you can see several monuments and buildings built by Ashoka The Great.
In the evening, you will be back in Varanasi, where you will check in at a luxury hotel for the overnight stay.
Day 04: Varanasi
Early morning, witness the living traditions of Varanasi as you take a boat ride on one of its oldest and holiest cremation sites on the bank of River Ganges, known as the Daswamedh Ghat. Upon your return to the hotel, you will be served a royal breakfast. You will then embark on a luxury sightseeing tour of the city. Some of the important landmarks of Varanasi include the Kashi Vishwanath Temple, Gyanvapi Mosque, and the Benaras Hindu University.
In the evening, you will be free to explore various Ghats of Varanasi and their distinctive significance in history. Overnight stay will be at Varanasi in the hotel you have already checked in.
Day 05: Varanasi - Khajuraho
(By Air, Usual Time Taken: 40 minutes)

After a grand breakfast at the Varanasi hotel, you will check out of the hotel and will be dropped at the domestic airport, in time for your flight to Khajuraho, famous for its erotic sculptures and imagery in a sacred place that had been built specially for the newlyweds in ancient times. At Khajuraho, you will check in at the Hotel Chandela for overnight stay and relax for sometime.
In the evening, you will visit the Western set of Temples followed by an enchanting Light and Sound Show for tourists.
Day 06: Khajuraho
A delicious breakfast at the hotel precedes the sightseeing tour of the world-famous Western and Eastern temples of Khajuraho. These temples transcend the image of Indian culture being narrow-minded and an inhibitor of sexual relationships.
Overnight stay will be at Khajuraho in the hotel you checked in, on the previous day.
Day 07: Khajuraho - Orchha - Jhansi - Agra (Jhansi to Agra by Train, Usual Time Taken: 4 hrs)
After a parting breakfast at Khajuraho, you will continue your luxury tour to Orchha, famous for the architectural splendor of its 17th century fort complex. You will then take the train to Agra from Jhansi, where you will check in at the Oberoi Amar Vilas for the overnight stay.
Day 08: Agra
A royal breakfast at the luxury hotel is followed by a scintillating sightseeing tour of Agra, beloved city of Mughals for years. Besides marble wonder Taj Mahal, you will see Agra Fort that resembles the Red Fort of Delhi and Itmad-ud-Daullah's tomb here.
Evening has been kept free for you to explore the markets of city and buy popular souvenirs such as miniature Taj Mahal, marble tabletops and trinket box with intricate inlaid stonework, and perhaps traditional clothes and jewellery.
Overnight stay will be at Agra at the luxury hotel you checked in on the previous day.
Day 09: Agra – Fatehpur Sikri – Jaipur (Distance by Road: 235 km, Usual Time Taken: 5 hrs + 2 hours for touring Fatehpur Sikri)
After a grand delicious breakfast at your hotel in Agra, you
will continue on your royal tour to the Pink City -
Jaipur,
visiting Fatehpur Sikri en-route. The red sandstone city of
Fatehpur Sikri has charming palaces and public institutions
built by Akbar. However, the city had to be abandoned later
due to unavailability of drinking water in the region.
At
Jaippur,
you will check in at the Oberoi Raj Villas for overnight stay
and enjoy the royal hospitable treatment of the land of kings.
Day 10: Jaipur

After
a grand breakfast fare at the luxury hotel you have been staying
in, you can either opt for the jeep ride or the royal elephant
ride to ascend the
Amber
Fort, situated near
Jaipur.
The magnificence of the fort complex is just a prelude to
the opulence and luxury you will witness at the City Palace
and
Hawa
Mahal or the Wind Mahal. You will be surprised to see
the masonry instruments at the Royal Observatory that measure
quite accurately, even according to the modern standards.
In the evening, you will be able to witness where the artistic
splendor of Jaipur comes from and hard work that is involved
in making intricate designs at the rug factory. You will also
see precision and meticulousness involved in cutting and polishing
of gems at a
Jaipur
gem factory.
Overnight stay will be at Jaipur in the Oberoi Raj Villas.
Day 11: Jaipur - Samode (Distance by Road: 47 km, Usual Time Taken: 1 hr)
Enjoy a luxurious breakfast at
Jaipur
and then proceed to Samode, where you will check in at the
luxury
heritage hotel
known as the Samode Palace for overnight stay. Being treated
as a royal guest will make your day at the palace that has
been exquisitely preserved and lavishly embellished for your
pleasure.
Day 12: Samode - Delhi (Distance by Road: 300 km, Usual Time Taken: 6 hrs)
A royal breakfast at Samode Palace is followed by the trip back to Delhi, where you can visit the local markets for last minute shopping. In Delhi, you will find trinkets from all over India that make excellent gifts and souvenirs.
In the evening, a company representative from TNS will treat your with a lavish dinner and then drop you at the International Airport, in time for your flight to onward destination.
