The Rajasthan Desert Safari Tour is ironically one of the most splendid and scenic tourism destinations in India. The majestic Amber Fort and the City Palace complex at Jaipur set the scene with their regal presence, while one of the largest forts in India, known as Mehrangarh Fort, awes tourists at Jodphur.

These packages cover major highlights of Rajasthan tours. Udaipur is considered the most romantic city of Rajasthan with the Lake Palace situated right between its famous lakes. You can even dine at the Lake Palace, if you so desire. The tours also cover Pushkar, a major pilgrimage center and venue for world's largest camel fair; and Sariska, which is a paradise for bird watchers.

Daywise Itinerary:

Day 01: Delhi Arrival at Delhi
Arrival in Delhi .You will be greeted at the airport by our TNS executive who will assist you to the hotel from railway station/airport .Reach hotel where our executive will assist you to complete the formalities in the hotel. After your formalities are completed you will be briefed about your travel plan for the next ten days of your tour and a travel kit will be handed over to you which contain your hotel vouchers and some travel documents for your tour.

Over night stay at Delhi.

Day 02: Delhi

Enjoy your break fast in the hotel. Then proceed to explore the mysteries of Delhi with our TNS escort . You will start your start your sightseeing from old Delhi.

Old Delhi, the 17th century walled city of Shah Jahanabad, Visiting the great Jama Masjid, the principal mosque of Old Delhi. Built in the year 1656 AD by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan, it is the largest & best known mosque in India. Later we take a rickshaw ride through Chandi Chowk, the old marketplace of Shah Jahanabad now a picturesque bazaar to reach Red Fort, built in the year 1648 by Shah Jehan.

After your sightseeing of old Delhi. Enjoy the delicious cuisine of Delhi in your lunch. After your lunch .Proceed for sight seeing of New Delhi.

In New Delhi, we visit Raj Ghat, memorial to the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi. It is a simple black marble platform that marks the spot of his cremation on 31 January 1948. Further we drive past India Gate, memorial built in the year 1931 to commemorate the Indian soldiers who died in the World War I & the Afghan Wars. The names of the soldiers who died in these wars are inscribed on the walls. President's House, the official residence of the President of India, built in the year 1931. Until 1950 it was known as Viceroy's House & served as the residence of the Governor-General of British India.

We will also visit Humayun's Tomb, memorial of Mughal Emperor Humayun, built in the year 1562. The complex is a World Heritage Site & the first example of this type of Mughal architecture in India. Qutub Minar, built in the year 1206 by Qutub-ud-din Aibek. It is the tallest (72m) brick minaret in the world, an important example of Indo-Islamic Architecture. The day ends after your sight seeing .Back to the hotel .over night stay at the hotel.  

Day 03: Delhi - Agra (By Surface - 201 KM - 4 Hours)
Enjoy your breakfast in the hotel. Check out from the hotel. Then drive to Agra which is a five hours drive from Delhi. Reach Agra . Check in at the hotel . Then Proceed for sightseeing of Taj Mahal the symbol of love. Enjoy a tanga ride while you go to Taj Mahal.

We'll visit Taj Mahal, symbol of eternal love, which stands on the banks of River Yamuna. It was built by the 5th Mughal emperor, Shah Jehan in the year 1631 in memory of his wife, Mumtaz Mahal. It was completed in 22 years. Further we visit Agra Fort, taken over from the Lodhis by the Mughal Emperor Akbar in the late 16th century. The Fort can be more accurately described as a walled palatial city. It was built from red sandstone, often inlaid with white marble & intricate decorations.

Have your dinner .Back to the hotel.

Day 04: Agra – Jaipur: (By Surface - 230 KM - 5 Hours)

Enjoy your break fast in the hotel. Check out from the hotel. Drive to Jaipur the pink city of India.

A favourite of travellers, the architecturally flamboyant capital of Rajasthan is often referred to as the 'Pink City'. Enjoy a visit to the City Palace, the Amber Fort and Jantar Mantar, a medieval astronomical observatory.

Reach Jaipur. Check in at the hotel. Rest of the day will be for leisure.

Day 05: Jaipur

After your break fast in the hotel. Then Start your day with an excursion to Amber Fort & Palace, located 12 kilometers from the center of the City. The Fort was originally built by Raja Mansingh and is one of the finest examples of Rajput architecture. Enjoy the ascent to the palace on the back of a brightly caparisoned elephant. Visit the chambers and hallways of the Palace which are famous for their design and decorations .

Later we visit the City Palace, a perfect blend of Rajasthani & Mughal architecture. The center of the palace is a seven-storied building called Chandra Palace, with fine views over the gardens & the city. Further we visit Jantar Mantar (Solar Observatory), an astronomical treasure house, with solar devices that give accurate predictions till date. We also visit Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds), a five-storied structure of pink sandstone. It was built in the year 1799 so that veiled royal women could peer down the busy street market unseen by the world through its 593 stone Jharokas (mini windows).

Day 06: Jaipur - Pushkar : (By Surface - 305 KM - 7 Hours)
After a leisurely break fast in the hotel. Check out from the hotel. Drive to pushkar .which will be a drive of around four hours from deogarh. Reach pushkar. Check in at the hotel. Then proceed for sightseeing to the only Brahma temple on the world.

After your sightseeing. Get back to the hotel. Evening is for leisure.

Day 07: Pushkar – Bundi: (By Surface - 206 KM - 4 Hours)
Enjoy your break fast in the hotel. Check out from the hotel. Drive to bundi a drive of around four hours from Jaipur.

This small but beautiful town was named after a former ruler, Bundi Meena.Located at the foothills of a large hill with a lake in the heart of the town, Bundi is a place worth visiting for its serene atmosphere and picturesque landscape.

Reach bundi. Check in at the hotel. Then proceed for sightseeing to taragarh fort built in the 14th century. Inside the fort, one can find Bhim Burj, a large battlement with a cannon placed on it and a large reservoir carved out of single piece of rock .

Enjoy your sightseeing . After your sightseeing get back to the hotel.

Day 08: Bundi – Kota – Udaipur

Enjoy your break fast in the hotel. Check out from the hotel. Drive to Udaipur the Venice of east.

Udaipur was founded in the year 1568 by Maharana Udai Singh after his final unsuccessful attempt to defend the Mewar capital, Chittorgarh from the invading Mughals under Emperor Akbar. The Kingdom of Mewar was considered the most respectable among all Princely states in Rajasthan & still remembered for the courage to protect the Kingdom.

Reach Udaipur. Check in at the hotel. Rest of the day is for leisure. Evening proceed to the lake for a boat ride.

Day 09: Udaipur

Proceed for sightseeing and Start your city tour from City Palace, an intriguing collection of buildings contributed by various Maharanas (Kings) after Udai Singh & built in the year 1725. The magnificence of the Palace starts right from its entrance at the northern Tripolia Gate that brings us to the central courtyard, the best place to view the facade of filigreed balconies & ornate cupola-topped towers. Sahelion ki Bari (Garden of Maids of Honour) is an ornamental garden built by Maharana Sangram Singh for his daughter & the Ladies of the Queen's court. He built the garden with several fountains, pools & is decorated with chiselled pavilions & elephants. The fountains worked on the unique hydraulic technique devised in the year 1700 AD & work till today.

Later we visit Jagdish Temple, the Indo-Aryan temple, built in the year 1651 AD by Maharana Jagat Singh, is the largest & the most beautiful temple of Udaipur with noteworthy sculpted images. We also enjoy boat ride on Lake Pichola, the beauty of the lake is enhanced by the surrounding hills, palaces, temples, bathing ghats & embankments. The Jag Niwas (Lake Palace) & Jag Mandir, the two island palaces on the lake look like pearls in the lake.

After your sightseeing .Get back to the hotel.

Day 10: Udaipur - Jodhpur (By Surface - 266 KM - 6 Hours)
Have a leisurely breakfast in the hotel. Check out from the hotel. Drive to the blue city of India which is popularly known as Jodhpur.

The second largest city in the Indian state of Rajasthan. It was formerly the seat of a princely state of the same name, the capital of the kingdom known as Marwar. Jodhpur is a popular tourist destination, featuring many palaces, forts and temples, set in the stark landscape of the Thar desert .

Reach Jodhpur. Check in at the hotel. Then proceed to visit the magnificent mehrangarh fort .The most magnificent fort in Jodhpur is the Mehrangarh Fort. It is situated on a 150m high hill. Rao Jodha, the then chief of Rathore clan, constructed it in 1459. There are a number of attractions within the fort like several palaces, galleries, a museum, temples and so on

Evening is for leisure. Spent time hopping around the nearby markets.

Day 11: Jodhpur – Jaisalmer (By Surface - 264 KM - 6 Hours)
After your break fast in the hotel. Check out from the hotel. Drive to Jaisalmer.

Jaisalmer is called as the golden city of India due to its forts and havelis, sand dunes, camel safaris .The heritage of the city reflects its cuisine, garments and the festivals.

Reach Jaisalmer .Check in at the hotel. Then proceed for sightseeing to the magnificent fort of Jaisalmer .The massive structure stand tall amidst the sand .Generally made of stone locally known as sonar quilla . Go for a walking tour among the narrow lanes where the carved havelis like patwon -ki- havelis, nathman -ki- havelis are situated.

After your sightseeing .Get back to the hotel.

Day 12: Jaisalmer

Day 13: Jaisalmer Camel Safari
Enjoy your breakfast in the hotel. Then proceed for a full day camel safari among the sand dunes. Sand dunes are a treat to watch in Jaisalmer .Enjoy your camel ride in the sand dunes.

Evening proceed to the sand dunes to watch the sunset in the desert .Enjoy your dinner beside a Rajasthani folk dance.

Day 14: Jaisalmer - Bikaner (By Surface - 333 KM - 8 Hours)

Have a leisurely break fast in the hotel. Check out from the hotel .Drive to Bikaner which is a drive of around eight hours from Jaisalmer.

The royal fortified city with a timeless appeal. Lying in the north of the Desert State, the city is dotted with many sand dunes. Bikaner retains the medieval splendor that pervades the city's lifestyle.

Reach Bikaner. Check in at the hotel.

Rao Bika Ji, a descendant of Jodha Ji - the founder of Jodhpur, founded this desert town in the North of the state in 1488. Visit the Junagarh Fort, constructed between 1588 and 1593 by Raja Jai Singh, a general in the Moghul Emperor Akbar's army. The city is known for its step wells so visit one ancient well and then the famous KARNI MATA temple.

Day 15: Bikaner – Mandawa (By Surface - 180 KM - 3 Hours)

The medieval Fort of Mandawa gradually rises on the horizon like a mirage. A breathtaking view of the town can be seen from the terrace of Castle Mandawa. Precious collection of arms with jade handles, traditional ceremonial costumes can be seen at the Museum at the Castle.

Reach mandawa .Check in at the hotel. Then proceed for a walking tour of the havelis in mandawa of some of the leading business families of the country. Though they no longer live here, the local caretakers are happy to show the visitors around. Chowkhani Haveli, Gulab Rai Ladia Haveli, Lakshmi Narayan Ladia Haveli, Mohahanlal Saraf Haveli and Bhagchandika Haveli are of special interest. Spend the major part of the day looking into frescoes.

Evening is for leisure.

Overnight will stay at Mandawa.

Day 16: Mandawa - Delhi (By Surface - 250 KM - 5 Hours)
Have your break fast in the hotel .Check out from the hotel. Drive to Delhi to board your flight for your onwards destination.
